Classes, vendors, eating, schmoozing, chocolate aside, the reason one attends a quilt show is for the quilts! They're wonderful this year, but I say that every year... Usually the first ones to catch my eye are the Critter quilts, and there are plenty of them this year. I haven't yet seen the entire show, so I may have missed some, but here's a start...

PIQF Quilt Show - Part 1
Classes, vendors, eating, schmoozing, chocolate aside, the reason one attends a quilt show is for the quilts! They're wonderful this year, but I say that every year... Usually the first ones to catch my eye are the Critter quilts, and there are plenty of them this year. I haven't yet seen the entire show, so I may have missed some, but here's a start...
My absolute favorite Critter Quilter, Nancy Brown, offers these guys... "Cassidy, Chase, Mashatu and JasPurr".
"Shade", by Mary Kay Davis...
"I'm Watching You", by Barbara Barrick McKie...
"Ruffled Feathers", by Roxanne Nelson...
"Rosie With the Golden Fleece", by Judy Mathieson...
"Don't Feed the Fish", by Millie Bagdanovich...
"Hippo Love", by Janet Fogg...
The quilting detail on this piece is amazing... This is a large quilt, 82x84"...that's a lot of work!!
"Great Blue Herons", by Joanne Baeth... just breath-taking!
"Darla's Dream Dinner", by V'Lou Oliveira...
"Hula Hoop Poodle", by V'Lou Oliveira...
"Ruby Sue Sows Her Seeds In the Sea", by Marie O'Kelly...
"Brian the Basilisk", by Jane Haworth...
"Baby Tigress Sheena", by Pat Durbin...
"Pelican Along Shore", by Ann Baldwin May...
"Lorenzo", by Paula Pawlowicz
"Chosen", by Jan Reed... with my love of Arabian horses, this one just knocked my socks off!
"Canine Chronicles", by Pauline Salzman...
"Cecil and Poiter On a Desert Island, by Frances Mulholland...
"Here's Looking At You", by Elizabeth T. Ward...
"Gorilla Of My Dreams", by Pauline Salzman...
Gotta get to class! More later...

How could the "I'm watching you" be a quilt? It is far too lifelike. Looks like a pictures she took of her dog? If that is a quilt, she gets Best of Show in my opinion. Did I miss one that you entered Francie? What a wonderful show.
