Finally... some progress!!

I've finally recovered enough from my hip injury to get back into my studio on a regular basis. It's been exhausting, but exhilarating. I have over two months of catching up to do, and I'm quite literally, foaming at the mouth! I've managed to get back into the groove, and, after several days of work, I've completed the second section of my strip quilt. This one was a fun challenge - trying to do diagonal strips around solid colored triangles. I'm happy with the results, but am going to try a different technique for the next one (which will be strip #6) and see where that leads me. That's the fun thing about this quilt - even though the sections will sort of echo each other, they won't be exact, and if they look a bit uneven and wonky, that's okay.

Since I started this quilt, my palate has enlarged considerably...

The strip collection is threatening to take over my work table... (but think of the scraps I'll have for future projects!)

The color scheme on this quilt is fabulous. I love the earthy look it has so far. Glad to hear you are up and running (well...not really) again.
